#AdventureADK

The people whom call the Adirondack region home are truly special and unique, which is a major reason we’ve decided to call this home too. While the people here are wonderful, the scenery is equally brilliant. It’s the other reason we’re here. We love all things ADK! Our blog, AdventureADK, is our way of sharing this with the world. Join us and use the hashtag #AdventureADK when showing off your ADK adventures!

Various, South Pond, Blue Mountain Lake, NY – May 23, 2020

05/23/2020 – Our first kayak exploration of the season! This was our first time at South Pond. The black flies were pretty bad, but a nice breeze gave us some periods of relief. Ah! Spring in the ADK!

Various, Lake Pleasant and Speculator, New York – May 16, 2020

05/16/2020 – Took the camera for a spin around Lake Pleasant. The colors of spring in the southern ADK – unrivaled!

Austin Falls, Speculator, New York – April 18, 2020

04/18/2020 – All the snow, albeit much less than normal, has melted and we’re finally able to get out and start exploring again. This is our first stop of what promises to be another gorgeous spring season in the southern Adirondacks. Austin Falls is a “chute” fall. It follows a narrow pass through a granite dominated river bed, down a gradual slope. This brings water roaring down the valley to the bottom of the falls. Wow. Great scenery! -Dave
